Here at Oakley Electrical Contractors we are NICEIC Approved Contractors and have extensive experience in the commercial and industrial sectors. We can install machinery and connect it up including panel and circuit design. We will carry out all of the calculations required to ensure the correct size cabling and protection devices are installed in the optimum set up to both improve usability, functionality and minimise cost and wastage.
We are happy to work on existing installations, assist you with modernisation, problem solving, fault finding and rectification, general maintenance and of course the all important 3 year Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR)
Once we know what you want to achieve and which machines you propose to use we can take care of the rest. We will optimise the layout of your premises and run in the correct containment for the environment and use.
One of our more recent projects was a Plastic Recycling Plant. All of the machines arrived in containers from China, all documentation and labelling was in Chinese. We worked with a machine logistic company to manage the removal of the machines from the containers and setting them into their final positions. We then ran cable ladder and other containment to each of the lines. We ran all the individual cables for the motors back to the panel and connected them in sorting out factory defects found in the panels on the way. We fully tested and commissioned the system then handed it over to the client.
During that project we also assisted with the installation of Power Factor Correction, LED High Bay lighting, Start stop controllers, contractors, Siemens Logic Controllers, pumps valves and piping of the water system.
We currently have a number of contracts with industrial companies in Newport and Cardiff docks who we visit regularly to assist with breakdowns, planned maintenance and upgrades. They use us because we are reasonably priced, always attend when we say we will and can often move things around to accommodate their needs at the shortest notice.
